Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Business Development Intern to join the Founder’s Office. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about startups. As a Business Development Intern, you will work directly with the Founder/CEO on various strategic initiatives, providing you with invaluable insights into the inner workings of a startup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Assist in market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for business expansion.
- Client Proposals: Support the development of client proposals and presentations.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and track industry trends to inform business strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute business development initiatives.
- Marketing & Sales Strategy: Participate in the creation and implementation of marketing and sales strategies.
- Event Coordination: Assist in the coordination of meetings, events, and networking opportunities.
- Financial Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and performance analysis.
- Lead Generation: Engage in lead generation and follow-up to cultivate business relationships.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the business development team.
- CRM Management: Assist in managing CRM databases and updating sales pipelines.
- Client Relations: Participate in client communications and relationship management activities.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of business processes and workflows.
- Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Special Projects: Support the team in ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Interest in Entrepreneurship: Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and business development.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, marketing, or business development is a plus.
- CRM Knowledge: Knowledge of CRM systems and tools for sales pipeline management.
- Adaptability: Proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong willingness to learn.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Initiative: Willingness to take initiative and propose new ideas for business growth.
- Market Research Understanding: Understanding of market research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
