Job Summary:
As a C# .NET Desktop Application Developer, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing desktop applications tailored to the Edutech industry. Your role will involve leveraging your expertise in C#, .NET, Firebase integration, and API connectivity to build robust, scalable software solutions that align with the organization’s educational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop Application Development: Design and develop high-performance desktop applications using C# and the .NET framework, ensuring that they meet the specific needs of the Edutech industry.
- Firebase Integration: Implement Firebase for real-time data analytics, cloud storage, user authentication, and notifications within desktop applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- API Integration: Collaborate with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs and other third-party services, enabling smooth data exchange and communication between the application and external systems.
- Feature Design & Implementation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define, design, and ship new features that enhance the user experience and meet educational goals.
- Code Quality & Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C# code, adhering to best practices and industry standards. Regularly perform debugging, maintenance, and updates to existing desktop applications.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct performance tuning, usability improvements, and optimization of desktop applications to ensure they run efficiently and effectively across different platforms.
- Code Reviews & Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency across projects. Work closely with other developers to foster a collaborative development environment.
- Testing & Documentation: Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure reliability and stability. Document software specifications, development processes, and provide training to end-users as needed.
- Stay Updated with Technologies: Keep up with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in desktop application development, particularly those relevant to the Edutech sector, and integrate them into ongoing and future projects.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in C# Development: Proven experience as a C# desktop application developer, with a strong understanding of the .NET framework and object-oriented programming principles.
- Firebase Expertise: Experience with Firebase for real-time data management, user authentication, and cloud functionalities, with a focus on its integration into desktop applications.
- API Integration Skills: Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and connectivity within applications.
- Software Design & Architecture: Strong understanding of software design and architecture principles, with the ability to create scalable and efficient desktop applications.
- Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL Server and database design, with the ability to integrate and manage data storage solutions within applications.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Version Control & Collaboration: Experience with code versioning tools such as Git, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
