Job Summary:
The Senior Web Engineer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of web applications and platforms. This role involves leveraging a range of technologies to create secure, scalable, and high-performing web solutions that align with the company’s business needs and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Web Application Development: Design, develop, and implement complex web applications using WordPress, Custom PHP, Laravel, Codeigniter, and MERN Stack technologies.
- Feature Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Application Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Code Review & Improvement: Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and advocate for best practices.
- Technology & Best Practices: Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in web development.
- UI/UX Feasibility: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers and other development teams to ensure effective implementation of web content and applications.
- Development Expertise: Provide expertise in the development process, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Architectural Contributions: Contribute to architectural and design decisions.
- Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, and estimation.
- Documentation: Document code and technical solutions.
- Technical Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members.
- Clean & Efficient Code: Collaborate with other engineers to create and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Proven experience as a Web Engineer or similar role.
- Technical Expertise: Expertise in WordPress, Custom PHP, Laravel, Codeigniter, and MERN Stack development.
- Front-End Proficiency: Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern libraries and frameworks.
- Web Application Knowledge: Solid understanding of web application development, architecture, and best practices.
- API Integration: Experience with web services and API integrations.
- Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of database design and optimization.
- Version Control: Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Multitasking Ability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Agile Experience: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and lead junior developers.
